Dear Neighbor.
This letter is to inform you that National Grid's crews and contractors will be commencing construction of new natural gas infrastructure at State Route 13 between reference markers1334071208 and 1334071212 in Richland, 544 Atkinson Road in Pulaski, and 527 County Route 5 / Lake Street in Pulaski, on or around May 28, 2024. This work will enhance the reliability and resiliency of our natural gas service to customers.  Crews will be on site Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. We anticipate that work will be completed in October 2024. Please note timelines may change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather.  You may experience traffic delays and noise disruptions, but crews will attempt to minimize interruptions as much as possible. We do not anticipate an interruption of natural gas service as part of this project. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this project, please don't hesitate to me at 518-603-1040. Thank you in advance and cooperation as we progress with this contact project.

Sincerely.

NOTICE

National Grid is embarking on a significant project to upgrade our electricity network in our area to improve reliability and make it easier to interconnect and transmit the growing number of renewable energy sources in the region.  The entire statewide transmission upgrade timeframe is aggressive—7-8 years.

  • As part of the process to gain state approval for our projects, we also must explore alternate routes for our work, in case our existing routes present meaningful property issues, including the presence of property improvements (ex: sheds, barns, pools, etc.), including homes.
  • In the coming weeks National Grid will begin outreach to landowners in the region, who own property along some potential alternate routes.  The process to landowners includes an initial contact by National Grid, followed by contact from our real estate representatives asking for access permission and subsequent survey work, if appropriate.
